Remember that you should only download mp3’s from legitimate websites that actually pay the musicians for their work. Ripping mp3’s from file sharing programs is not only illegal it’s also evil and will get you some serious bad karma. Being a musician is tough enough without having people stealing all your work. You wouldn’t steal a CD from a shop, so why steal mp3s online?
iTunes now has an Australian store where you can download mp3’s from your favourite bands for a reasonable price. There are a number of other legitimate music download sites, and you can often download music directly from a band’s website.
Have fun, play nice, and don’t help destroy the Australian music industry by ripping mp3s from file sharing sites.
